Join ESMN members Rose Marie Roessler and Maggie Long on a guided walk of SND. The group will be given a brief history of the Savage Neck Dunes Natural Area Preserve area and the transition from fields to upland woodland. The preserve includes maritime forests and dunes along the Chesapeake Bay. This guided walk is about two hours out to the shoreline, along the trails, and back to the parking area. We will try to identify the plants, birds, and other wildlife encountered during the walk.
